Master’s Thesis in Molecular Genetics (M/W/D)

The Molecular Genetics of Atherosclerosis and Myocardial Infarction research group at the German Heart Center (Deutsches Herzzentrum) focuses on the identification of genetic risk variants and mutations. The underlying pathomechanisms are clarified using various experimental approaches. These include in particular RNA/transcriptome analyses, protein biochemical and cell culture work, genome editing and phenotyping of transgenic mouse models.

Your tasks:

• Participation in scientific seminars and exchange with other scientists
• Planning and conducting experiments in the above-mentioned areas
• Carrying out literature research

Your profile

• Master's student in biology, life sciences or biomedicine
• Responsible and safe handling of chemicals
• Previous laboratory experience is an advantage
• Very good written and spoken English skills
• Ability to work independently and on your own responsibility
• Good knowledge of common spreadsheet and word processing programs
